Updated: The Spyware Scanner is working (thanks to Jimmy for pointing out my oversight). Select Spyware Scanner from the dropdown menu in the modules block. You will be prompted to allow the installation of an ActiveX plugin. Go ahead and accept it, it's safe. The Spyware Scanner page uses both javascript and ActiveX to scan your computer for known spyware. The javascript runs as a passive script, only notifying you when it finds something. The ActiveX applet is at the bottom of the page and waits for you to click on the Start Scanning for Spyware button. It will prompt you when it finds something and ask you if you want to remove it.
Go ahead...give it a try. Posted by watts on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 (14:43:37) (141 reads) [ Administration ]
