I've been a fan of the Wikipedia for a year or so now. In case you don't know what it is, the Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia that is openly edited by anyone. It's primary mission is to provide a high quality free encyclopedia to everyone in their own language. The articles are exceptional considering it is all community driven.
The reason this post came up is because as some may know, I have a new Pocket PC. My welcome home present to myself was a Dell Axim X50v. I'm having fun finding software for it and one piece of software is Tomeraider. It is a document reader (shareware) with excellent search capabilities, great compression, and image support. I found a guy who developed a script that will compile the Wikipedia database and image store into a Tomeraider document, making it small enough (500MB) to fit on a memory card and read on your Pocket PC. He compiles the database twice a year, but provides instructions for those who want updates on a more regular basis. There are many other Tomeraider ebooks available as well as sister Wiki projects.
